The Architecture of Evening....

The daylight fades to static grey,

The heavy city slows its pace,

As all the chaos of the day

Evaporates without a trace.

We pull the heavy curtains tight,

To lock the rushing world outside,

And lean into the amber light,

Where no more secrets need to hide.

Your hand is resting close to mine,

An unread book upon your knees,

We do not look for grand design,

Or speak in grand soliloquies.

For love is built in quiet things,

The way you know my coffee blend,

The comfort that the silence brings,

When exhausting long days finally end.

Let others search for burning sparks,

And fleeting fires in the wind,

We trace our path through softer marks,

Where separate lives have intertwined.

A steady pulse, a shared embrace,

A sanctuary three rooms wide,

We found our own celestial space,

With you forever by my side.

So let the clock dial spin its round,

We have no chapters left to chase,

For in this quiet desk we found,

Our perfect, unhurried reading place.

True romance isn’t always found in grand gestures or dramatic rain-soaked declarations. More often, it lives in the quiet, comforting architecture of a shared evening at home. "The Architecture of Evening" is a lyrical reflection on finding a peaceful sanctuary in each other away from the chaotic noise of the modern world.

Settle in, grab a warm drink, and enjoy this peaceful moment.....
